It’s that time of year again – the season of giving! And I love gifting. You know, just brightening someone’s day with a little somethin’ somethin’! As someone who travels a lot, I know the struggle of trying to figure out the balance between what it is that I would want & what I could actually use.
So what do you get the friend who likes to jet off so often?
I put this guide together with just that in mind. Each item can be included in your carry on (minus the mini bottle of prosecco) & are beneficial while hopping around the globe.
1. SWELL BOTTLE
Water bottles at airports can be expensive! I once spent $15 on one bottle of water at the airport in Costa Rica. Best bottle of water I ever had… The trick is to bring an empty bottle so you can refill along the way! Saves you 15 bucks. And the Swell bottle is perfect because, unlike plastic, it’s eco-friendly, condensation free, & Swell keeps your drink cool for 24 hours & hot for 12! An added bonus: they come in all sizes & colors! Take a peak at their cocktail set as well!
2. JOSIE MARAN ARGAN OIL
THE. ABSOLUTE. DREAM. I’m not kidding; I am obsessed with this stuff! For someone who has struggled with her skin since forever, this is a game changer. Traveling can leave your skin tired & dry. You know that feeling when your skin is so thirsty that regular moisturizer doesn’t cut it? Josie Maran’s Argan Oil is just the thing to bring back that hydrating glow & make your face as soft as a baby’s bottom. If that doesn’t sell you, all of Josie Maran’s products are cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, & free of all those crazy chemicals! It’s 100% pure.
3. COCKTAIL KIT
Now you can make topnotch drinks mid-flight all while being TSA approved! Packed with all the necessities, including mixing instructions, this is just the cutest & funnest thing! I was given this kit after work & y’all, I have never felt so fancy sitting in economy – ever! So, of course I had to order again. Photographed is the Champagne Kit, but they have so many other options: Gin & Tonic, Bloody Mary & Margarita Kits, just to name a few.
Travel journals are a great way to document adventures, mishaps & all of the crazy little moments you may forget! This journal is a wee bit special to me because not only is it handmade, but I found this at a little popup shop on the streets of Melbourne while visiting a friend! (Michelle Bluzer, you my girl!) The great thing about Rapt In Hide, is that once you have filled all the pages of your journal, you can take it out & use the cover for a new journal!
**this cover is made from real leather.**
5. MINOLTA FILM CAMERA
Film has always been so cool to me. I love going through boxes & finding old photos and seeing how the camera caught the light, the dust and all the perfect imperfections. A real, honest moment in time – no retouches or presets applied. Minolta isn’t the only film camera available, but I would say it’s one of the best. Some features include: flash with 4 modes, detachable 35-80mm lens & both an automatic & manual focus.
